Run for Jo

The Run for Jo is one of the key events over The Great Get Together weekend in Batley & Spen. It takes place at Oakwell Hall and Country Park in Birstall.

Runners can sign up to take part in a 2.5km fun run or a 6.5km cross-country challenge. The fun continues throughout the day with a family fun day with food, music and entertainment.

The Run for Jo draws big numbers with over 500 runners getting involved each year.

Comedian and actor Eddie Izzard joined in the inaugural run, In 2018, ITV Calender’s Christine Talbot and BBC Look North’s Harry Gration started the race in true ‘More In Common’ style and Harry even took up the challenge of the 6.5km cross-country run!

How Can I Get Involved ?

You can take part in the Run For Jo 2020 on Sunday 21st June 2020.

You can run, walk or jog on either runs.

Sign up to complete the 2.5km fun run here

or the 6.5km challenge here

We want to make this event something for everyone, you can bring you dog, walk the route or just come along to enjoy the atmosphere and encourage the runners!

A team of volunteers spend the best part of a year planning and organising for this event. Additional volunteers are needed to help the event run smoothly on the day.
