We work throughout the year with the school hubs in our region to promote the values that Jo believed in.

In June, schools take part in The Great Get Together. To promote the idea that we have more in common, schools hold assemblies, class lessons and events.

Two special schools events take place in the week leading into the Great Get Together weekend bringing together groups of students from different schools.

Step Into The Future

Over 1000 children from the BBEST hub of schools take part in a special parade to remember Jo and her values. In the afternoon they meet new people and celebrate all that is positive about their town and community.

The Big Sing

Schools that make up the Spenborough Co-operative Trust take part in an open-air singing performance.

It takes place in the centre of Heckmondwike - the town where Jo grew up and went to school.
